As an important tool and key component for rolling ferrous and metal billets into products, the consumption cost of rolls is about 5%-15% of the production cost of steel rolling, which is directly related to the production efficiency, product quality and production costs of steel production enterprises.

     With the transformation and upgrading of the metallurgical iron and steel industry, more and more cast high-speed steel rolls and high-performance high-hardness alloy wear-resistant parts have been widely used, among which the composite high-speed steel rolls are the most difficult to process. Halnn super-hard CBN tool BN-S10 has a variety of models to choose from. For different processing parts, choose the appropriate blade model for heavy-duty cutting of high-hardness cast rolls, which can effectively improve production efficiency and reduce production costs.

     For example, the outer circle of the casting roll is processed, and the commonly used models are RNMN160800, RNMN200800, RNMN120400, SNMN150716, SNMN120712, SNMN120412 (08), CNMN1207 or CNMN1204. For machining cast roll grooves, circular inserts with conical bottoms such as RCMX120700 or V-slotted inserts are generally recommended.

Remarks: (1) For different material rolls, Halnn tools have different insert materials recommendations. Before purchasing, try to communicate with the tool engineer to choose a suitable cutting tool.

                (2) Dry cutting is used when heavy-duty cutting rolls are used, and no cutting fluid is added. Otherwise, it is prone to micro-crack or break.
